Lawn Striping
Lawn striping requires healthy, flexible grass to create a crisp light-and-shadow contrast, which is why the effect is less successful when the lawn is dry. Dormant grass is brittle and tends to resist bending, making it difficult to achieve the defined directional change necessary for striping.
For optimal results, grass should be lush, thick, and well-hydrated. Proper watering and a consistent fertilization schedule ensure the blades have the resilience and uniformity needed to be laid down effectively by a lawn roller and reflect light in the desired striped pattern.
